As a polio survivor of 55 years, I am appalled at the poster for the Beijing Olympics. And there will be Paralympics after the Olympic games? The para athletes should refuse to participate. Human rights in China has a long ways to go...
This just goes to show how different, Countries and People are in the way they reat and help their people. Especially, those with Special Needs. In these industrial countries, such as China, the awareness and education of society apparently has not come full circle for their disabled population. What's their grass roots movement like? As a country they need to take a leadership role and make changes. But, then again with a population of millions of people, those with Special Needs have to be placed lower on the priority needs. Anyway, we as Americans who go over to their country, need to address this wording and the negative impact it places on people with disabilities. Make them aware and help they correct or say things in a different and more appropriate way.
